[That pressure's a hell of a lot nicer than the compression of Charles' seizures, but it wakes him up all the same. From muddy and angry dreams Logan startles awake, sitting upright in his rickety bed as he grapples around for a second like he's expecting someone to be right there at the bedside, whispering into his ear. Claws briefly extended, they slide back into his arms as his heart steadies. That was Jean's voice - and not part of the dream, like it used to be.
He massages his temple, seeing his fluid buzz. He reaches for it and turns on the nightstand light.]
[ That's actually why she sent him this message. Nightmares. Ones she hasn't had since first waking here and thought she had left behind with her... until tonight. Until now. ]
Don't let me stop you from doing so if you feel it necessary.
It's about Laura. Second chances and all that. I might have one, might not. But either way, she does. I don't know how to not fuck that up for her, especially if she's as much like me as she seems.
She needs a decent mutant role model, not just an OK one. If you get what I'm getting at.

He massages his temple, seeing his fluid buzz. He reaches for it and turns on the nightstand light.]
Am now. What's wrong?
no subject
I didn't mean to wake you. Just having some difficulty falling back to sleep.
no subject
[No shitty dreams, her for company. It's win win.]
You wanna talk? I've got nothing better to be doing
no subject
You have the boys over tonight?
no subject
Stiles tends to have nightmares so I'm sure he's still up
[Logan - empathizes with that. He's sure Jean does too.]
If he hasn't snuck out to fuck around outside. Haven't checked.

Don't let me stop you from doing so if you feel it necessary.
no subject
Were you thinking of coming by?
[He's phrasing it this way to - alleviate it with that same shameless albeit rusty flirting.]
I'll make my bed if that's the case.
no subject
A little late for visitors, don't you think?
no subject
You're the only one I'd make a lot of exceptions for, Jean.
You're always welcome.
no subject
I know.
How are you sleeping here?
no subject
It's not a lot different here. You?
no subject
Just a bad dream tonight.
I didn't really want to go back to sleep.
So I'm bothering you instead.
no subject
I'll pick up some of your baggage if you pick up some of mine.
One of us ought to be able to drag it away
no subject
I'm just not sure if I want to know the answer for it.
no subject
There's a lot of stuff we could talk about. That we probably should.
But I'm not in a rush. It feels easier to put it off.
no subject
I know you have your reasons for it.
And I know you'll tell me when you're ready.
no subject
I'm not the same man I was before.
But having you here makes me feel like I could be.
no subject
Whether or not I'm here, you've always been capable of being better.
You just need to give yourself the chance to be.
no subject
Maybe this place is my chance at a second chance, huh?
Guess I won't throw the kids out on their asses like I want to.
no subject
I'm sure they'll appreciate that.
They seem rather fond of you. Stiles in particular.
[ Reminds her of how taken Rogue was with him. ]
no subject
But he's a good kid. Loud mouthed but alright.
Can I ask you something? While we're on this topic.
no subject
Everything ok?
no subject
I might have one, might not. But either way, she does.
I don't know how to not fuck that up for her, especially if she's as much like me as she seems.
She needs a decent mutant role model, not just an OK one.
If you get what I'm getting at.
no subject
But of course, Logan.
I'll do what I can to help her.
And that includes helping you with her.
no subject
Nevermind that it's... what, three now? Maybe four? I saw that Rogue's here.
[A Rogue, at least.]
If Charles could see me now.
