[That pressure's a hell of a lot nicer than the compression of Charles' seizures, but it wakes him up all the same. From muddy and angry dreams Logan startles awake, sitting upright in his rickety bed as he grapples around for a second like he's expecting someone to be right there at the bedside, whispering into his ear. Claws briefly extended, they slide back into his arms as his heart steadies. That was Jean's voice - and not part of the dream, like it used to be.

He massages his temple, seeing his fluid buzz. He reaches for it and turns on the nightstand light.]

Am now. What's wrong?

[ So he had been asleep. Or dozing off at the very least. ]

I didn't mean to wake you. Just having some difficulty falling back to sleep.

It's fine, I prefer this

[No shitty dreams, her for company. It's win win.]

You wanna talk? I've got nothing better to be doing

Yeah. Talking would be nice.
You have the boys over tonight?

They've been by, yeah.
Stiles tends to have nightmares so I'm sure he's still up

[Logan - empathizes with that. He's sure Jean does too.]

If he hasn't snuck out to fuck around outside. Haven't checked.

[ That's actually why she sent him this message. Nightmares. Ones she hasn't had since first waking here and thought she had left behind with her... until tonight. Until now. ]

[He's phrasing it this way to - alleviate it with that same shameless albeit rusty flirting.]

[ His words, despite their shamefulness, make her smile regardless. Leave it to Logan to serve as a distraction from other thoughts. ]

[ Reminds her of how taken Rogue was with him. ]

Think he's more enamored now by 'The Wolverine' than anything.
But he's a good kid. Loud mouthed but alright.

It's about Laura. Second chances and all that.
I might have one, might not. But either way, she does.
I don't know how to not fuck that up for her, especially if she's as much like me as she seems.

She needs a decent mutant role model, not just an OK one.
